Vibrant Wedding in Red and Black Hues
At JOWY Productions we take great pride in being a part of a family’s most memorable occasions such as weddings, Mitzvahs, and milestone celebrations. It’s always an honor when clients turn to us to bring their event visions to life, but even more so when we’re asked by the same family to oversee not only one but all their children’s weddings! We recently had the opportunity to do just that and we loved working with one of our favorite clients once again! Keep reading for all the beautiful details from Anisa and Daniel’s wedding at their family estate in Los Angeles.
First and foremost, a wedding celebrates the love between the couple, but this joyous occasion can also be a time to acknowledge the importance of family. When a couple gets married they officially add new members to their immediate family and the wedding is an opportunity for all generations to come together to celebrate the special bond that connects them.
Wedding planners often develop a friendship with the couple, but also with the family who is key to making the day truly special for the couple. Family members - whether they’re chosen or by blood, physically present or with you in spirit - all play unique and important roles on a couple’s wedding day. Sometimes it’s the Mother of the Bride who assists with the logistics, while sisters serve as “sounding boards” to the bride. The presence of grandparents and distant relatives who’ve traveled a great distance to attend the wedding always tugs at the heartstrings, while the cute nieces and nephews tend to almost steal the show as flower girls and ring bearers. The bride being escorted by her father down the aisle and the groom’s dance with his mom at the reception are both tear jerking moments that honor special relationships on the wedding day.
Planning an event and especially a wedding is deeply personal and we take great pride in being invited into the inner workings of a family’s dynamics during one of the most important times in a couple’s life. A lovely aspect of working closely together is the friendship and mutual respect that come with the intimate planning process. JOWY Productions has worked with Daniel’s family many times over the years and we’ve planned and designed numerous events including both of his sisters’ weddings 4 months apart. We were absolutely thrilled when we were asked to help plan and design Anisa and Daniel’s wedding at his family estate, which was built to entertain and one day host a wedding!
For their wedding, Anisa and Daniel wanted to honor their cultural heritage and asked us to incorporate subtle, traditional aspects into the overall design. Together with an incredible vendor team, we were able to bring their wedding vision to life. The talented Nancy Kaye of Mark’s Garden designed the spectacular floral arrangements in vibrant, deep red while Candlelight Designs provided the lighting to create plenty of ambiance for the reception space. Every detail and special moment of the day was beautifully captured by Valorie Darling Photography.
