Fun and Beautiful Bar and Bat Mitzvah Designs
The Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a coming of age ritual and the most important milestone for Jewish adolescents and their families. At JOWY Productions we’re always excited when clients turn to us to help them plan the celebration of this joyous occasion that brings family and friends together. Keep reading for a look at some of the most spectacular mitzvahs we’ve designed over the years!
A Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a rite of passage for young boys and girls of Jewish faith when they turn 13. At this age the boy/girl becomes accountable for his/her actions as a man or woman and also eligible to take part in public religious worship. “Bar Mitzvah” means “son of commandment” while “Bat Mitzvah” means “daughter of commandment”.
To celebrate this milestone, a personalized party is often designed that follows the religious ceremony and is attended by the family and friends of the adolescent who is celebrating their mitzvah. Like wedding receptions, Bar/Bat Mitzvah parties vary widely in scale, expense and style.
One of our favorite parts of the planning process is helping the client decide on a theme for the celebration and come up with fun decor ideas, games and activities that accentuate the chosen theme and/or are personal to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah guest of honor.
